What's your fave Robert De Niro movie? So, right now I'm watching Midnight Run and I realize that although Bobby has delivered awesome performances in iconic movies, it dawns on me that this is my favorite De Niro movie because he's funny as hell even though he's still a total badass. Plus he looked hot in this movie, I think it's the best he's ever looked. The cast of Charles Grodin, Yaphet Kotto, Joey Pants, and Dennis Farina is equally hilarious.
I can't wait to see him and Al Pacino FINALLY doing a whole movie together. Bobby knows how to get in shape for a movie cuz I saw him awhile back and he was a lil' porky (he coulda still got it tho ) I didn't know ol' Fiddy was in the movie too, as well as, John Leguizamo and Donny Wahlberg. It looks good. Here's the trailer: http://movies.yahoo.com/m...eo/6844963 So what's your favority Bobby D. movie? [Edited 8/20/08 10:52am]

probably 'king of comedy'. the kind of movies de niro is usually in are usually not the kind of movies i enjoy - the whole gritty crime drama thing usually bores me to tears - but i could get into him as rupert pupkin, comedic loser extraordinaire.

I'm watching the part where they do the "litmus configuration" on the $20 bills. And why hasn't Charles Grodin made more movies??? I loved him in Seems Like Old Times with Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase. Funny ass movie. [Edited 8/20/08 10:54am]

The only other thing I know Grodin in is those Beethoven movies. Or his appearances on Letterman, which are classic.

Raging Bull. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

It's so sad how the kid that played his son turned out. I thought he showed a lot of promise.

Midnight Run is really underrated. That's a fantastic movie when DeNiro was still working hard at his craft but taking on a fun role for maybe the first time.
It's one of those movies that doesn't amount to much but I could watch it over & over. I also love the obvious ones--Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Taxi Driver. My Legacy

Godfather 2 isn't my favorite movie, but his performance is almost not even acting. I feel like I'm watching a real person. My Legacy

That's probably the only thing I've liked Jerry Lewis in, too. My Legacy

The kid, Lillo Brancato Jr, became a serious heroin addict and started doing burglaries to support his habit. One night a couple years ago, he was doing a burglary and a neighbor came out to see what was going on. He and his accomplice shot and killed the dude who turned out to be an off duty police officer. Needless to say he'll be in for life. [Edited 8/20/08 11:35am]

The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle? No, it's some old movie, I can't think of the name of it. It might have been French. The Godfather, Part II, by far, is his best movie, not only because he was stellar in it, but because it is one of the greatest movies of all time. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
