I like namepeace not only for his taste in film, but because he uses as many commas as me. smile

For some reason I love Ronin. I’ve watched it repeatedly. It’s a fave along with Heat, Raging Bull, Cape Fear, and Meet the Parents

No, it's some old movie, I can't think of the name of it. It might have been French.

Too many, I can't even think of one. But it's definitely not "Godsend" shake he's suppose to doing another movie with Pacino, if it hasn't already been mentioned.

Aw okay cool . I can't see it from my current location, it's just one big blank spot. I miss a lot on these threads because of that.

So why didn't you include Mr. Pacino too, in the favorites thing?

The kid, Lillo Brancato Jr, became a serious heroin addict and started doing burglaries to support his habit. One night a couple years ago, he was doing a burglary and a neighbor came out to see what was going on. He and his accomplice shot and killed the dude who turned out to be an off duty police officer. Needless to say he'll be in for life. disbelief

I say good riddance.

You said the same thing about Pacino so I'm sensing a trend with you and the Italian menses. hmmm

Speaking of the fevah, Bobby D was in Dallas in April for a film festival. I got to go to the screening of his new Barry Levinson-directed movie What Just Happened? (don't know if it's being released or not). But anyway, at the after party a friend introduced us and I got to shake his hand. cloud9 Lemme tell ya, I was sho nuf trynta get IN with his ol' ass but his wife looked like she might have a shank in her shoe. So me and the girlz decided to back on up before Grace Hightower fucked us up. lol

probably 'king of comedy'. the kind of movies de niro is usually in are usually not the kind of movies i enjoy - the whole gritty crime drama thing usually bores me to tears - but i could get into him as rupert pupkin, comedic loser extraordinaire. nod

Yeah, have you seen the trailer for his movie with Pacino? Typecast city. disbelief

To answer Sandals' question, I really dug his performance in "The Mission." Very subtle, very nuanced. And, I was amazed at how moving his non-speaking scenes were, particularly this one:

It's weird when you can say Justin Timberlake was better at DeNiro--at acting! Though his opening skit where he was listing suspects named "Ustroke Mdeek" (based on tips from college students) was pretty funny.
