A girl who won the Gold in a floor routine the other day actually LOOKED her age, around 18-20. But yeah, the 16 year olds that look about 7 freak me out. Ugh, I know. I tried pointing it out to my family the other day but they said it was body strength.  They look deformed to me.
I bet the "stunting growth" thing is to do with the make up and corny dance moves. The women must be as petite or feminine as possible or some shit. Gymnastics still feels very stooped in old time tradition. The way they take off points for a slightly bad landing - it's all so picky. | |

Either make it like a dance (ala Figure Skating) or make it a bunch of tricks. But posing in between tumbling just looks awkward. Why is there music in the floor routines? They dance for two seconds then ignore the music completely. Weird. Amazing, but weird. My Legacy
