Holy Freakin' Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

Anyway,

I'm at my studio tonight here in South Florida. And low and behold we got our first cold front.

Very nice.

So...

Like I always do every year, I open up the garage entrance to let in the fresh air and turn off the A/C to save some ching ching.

I was sitting here on the computer just now when I heard a noise coming from just outside the door.

I opened the door and a great big Golden Retriever jumped up on me!

MY HEART FEELS LIKE IT'S GOING TO BEAT OUT OF MY CHEST!

Anyway, the dog seems very friendly, it just wanted some attention. I've never met any dog jump up on a stranger like that. Especially one screaming at the top of his lungs like I was.

He don't stink. His teeth are clean. So I guess he can hang in the garage until I leave to go home.

He just layed down in front of the door like he's lived here all his life.

I need a beer...

What the F*** ever!

I opened the door and a got knocked over by a dog.

Did the itsy bitsy spider knock you down?

I think not!

My studio is not exactly in the best of neighborhoods. There are crack houses down the street. When I first heard the sound coming from outside the door, I thought I was going to have to chase away another vagrant.

Instead I got, knocked down and licked to death by a 75 lbs. dog.

Talk about suprised!

He's still here.

I tried "shooing" him away but he just sit's there like I'm his new best friend or somthing.

I love dogs but I can't keep him.

I hope his real home is somewhere in the neighborhood.

By the way Ice,

Too bad you don't have the matching cabinet for that amp or I'd have to buy it from you so I could put it next to this one.

I do have the matching purple cabinet, but I'm not sellin'! biggrin

That is a cool red one though!

Did you know that you can have Marshall re-cover your head and cabinets in various colors? Yeppers... I had a couple of other heads covered purple when I was touring... smile

Hey, I have two 1972 Fender Rhodes pianos if you want to trade. I'd be willing to part with one.

burp.

Ok,

I had my beer.

Let's check on the 'ol fella.

What should we call him?

Sparky?

There was a cat that visited me everynight I was at the studio. I never named him/her but it was sweet.

One night when I came to the studio it was hit by a car right in front of the drive way. I picked it up and burried it in the back yard. When I lived in my studio (3 years) it was here every single night. Even after I got a place with my new wife, when I came here he would show up as I was leaving.

I never saw it in the daytime, only at night.

I miss that poor little fella.

I don't want to get attached to this one either.

If he decides to hang around.

This dog aint goin away.

I've tried everything from screaming at the top of my lungs to smacking him on the bottom.

He just sits there.

I swear if there is such a thing as re-incarnation, this dog is the cat that used to come to the studio.

Too bad I can't take him home.

He really is nice.

If he comes back again a few times, maybe I'll surprise my wife with a new pet...

Maybe not.

That is, of course, unless he eats your testicles and penis one night while you are sleeping, but that goes without saying.

Well at least prostrate cancer will be of no worry! Neither will sex, or life for that matter... wink

Holy shit!

I don't expect the dog to actually go in and eat his prostate... but the dog could possibly do that if he is hungry enough!

Follow up:

While leaving my studio last night, it must have taken 15 minutes just to get the dog out of the garage. He laid himself flat out on the ground with his legs in the air.

I wasn't about to pick him up.

I finally gripped him by the hide of the neck (not abusively, just firmly) and got him out of the garage.

Next, I get into my car.

No dog in site.

Just as I was closing my car door,he rushes into the back seat.

Sneaky little fellow.

After (I kid you not) 30 minutes of wresling him, yelling at him, and flat out loosing my mind, I finally got him out of my car.

He just sat in the front seat like he owned my ride. I think he was really enjoying himself. "Oh, it's warm in here."

Anywho, I tricked him out of the car by pretending I was going back into the garage.

He fell for it and followed me back into the garage. After another 10 minutes of wresling him out of the garage, I got into my car through the window. He tried to do the same, but I blocked him out.

He did not take very well. I could hear him wailing as I drove away.

Funny thing was, I really did want to take him home, but my son is only two months old and my wife has decided to stay home with him. There is no room for him. We don't have a yard. He's a big dog. My baby is little. My wife would divorce me for sure if I brought him home.

Conclusion:

If he's still at the studio this weekend, I'll put a dog house in the backyard and keep some kibbles and bits in the garage. I'm not there everyday like I used to be before my son was born.

I wonder if I should have called animal control. Hopefully his owner lives in the neighborhood and he finds his way home.

He looked a lot like this:

Oh, frik!

I just know I'm going to go back over there after work to check on him.

I'm a real sucker for animals.
