A person I know just wrote to me and said I was " flaky and unreliable " I have not often thought myself as such Do I seem flaky and unreliable to you ? 'flaky and unreliable' people do not accomplish what you've accomplished. your happy, healthy family is testimony to that

i have no idea if you are flaky and unreliable.
However...even though it may not be the way that you view yourself, the fact that this person knows you and works with you on a fairly regular basis her comment may not be without merit. It sounds like she's frustrated about something possibly some underlying issue she has with you but has a difficult time actually telling you about for whatever reason. It might be worth it to have a sit down talk with this person about what could be bothering her. This is a bit unrelated but I think that everyone is flaky and unreliable at times and for different reasons. I can be very flaky and unreliable when I'm dealing with someone or a particular task that I'm not too fond of.

Great points and I have thought about them as well and as I have said a bunch already I know I have my moments as well though when it comes to my dedication to my daughter, her dance and her dance sisters, those moments are quite hard to find. I know her frustration level is huge - new divorce - new home - jobless at the moment. I have offered to talk with her - she has not returned the call and I have a gut feeling she wont. I hope I am wrong ...

I am certian I have had moments of flakyness in my 44 yrs - though not an overall theme I am still dwelling on the "unreliable" statement concerning my relationship with this person I am 99.5 % sure that everything I said I would do I have and then some I have been there in a pinch and covered things others have left undone or forgotten. I feel in this situation I have NOT been unreliable Well, shoot - we all have! If the relationship is worth it to you, it might be good to ask her specifically what she's talking about. It could be that she's just lashing out - God knows people have accused me of a lot of crap that I'd never even think about doing.
