Phil Collins Better Get Back on the Road. . . . . . or just be friends, cuz this CANNOT be cost-effective.
Phil Collins Trumps Paul McCartney in Mega-Divorce Phil Collins' ex-wife may no longer be in his heart, but she'll definitely always have a place in his bank account. The easy-rocking star has waved good-bye to marriage No. 3 and hello to a reported $46.68 million divorce settlement which, if accurate, shapes up to be the biggest ever celeb payout in British legal history, trumping even the astronomical amount Heather Mills received—said to be $45.37 million—from Paul McCartney earlier this year. Collins, 57, and Orianne Cevey, 35, were married for seven years before separating in 2006. They have two children together, sons Nicolas, 8, and Matthew, 4. It isn't the first time relationship woes have caused a dip in the Genesis frontman's fortunes, with Britain's Daily Telegraph even claiming that divorce settlements have eaten into as much as one-third of his estimated $280 million net worth, nearly $84 million going to his ex-wives. After taking advantage of technological advances and infamously dumping wife No. 2, Jill Tavelman, by fax back in 1994, he was forced to pay $34 million. (And say whatchu want, but I'da took his dough too if he sent ME a gatdamn fax to break up. ) [Edited 8/18/08 17:36pm]

He deserves it for not getting a pre-nuptial agreement settled. What's up with these stupid celebrities? Cry me a river, Phil! Cry me a gatdamn river, you dumbass! He's probably gonna do the unthinkable and write another song that "HAS SHIT TO DO ABOUT HIS DIVORCE" (*Wink**Wink*) but say that it was inspired by it. [Edited 8/18/08 20:14pm] This sig is just a fig of your imago-neigh-shun

He deserves it for cheating on his wife with the nanny and then informing his then current wife of the breakup by fax. Did he really think this one wasn't gonna fuck him over?
[Edited 8/18/08 20:14pm] What a moron.

A prenup does not protect assets acquired during the marriage. So even if there's a prenup wifey can get half of whatever he earns during the years of the marriage. I'm not sure how it works in the UK but they seem EXTRA generous over there. Oh and he informed wifey #2 by fax and she got $34 million.

JustErin said: SCNDLS said: Not anymore, it ain't. How the hell did that guy make that much money?? I actually like Phil's music. And he's toured a lot over the years. Plus he wrote most of his music. How many albums has he sold? I'm sure his solo and Genesis stuff is in the millions.

From Wikipedia According to Atlantic Records, Collins' total worldwide sales as a solo artist, as of 2002, were 150 million Scary huh Add massive tours, plus his work with Genesis and their tours it would add up for sure
