Even in the first pic it looks fantastic. Did you use bleach to lift your hair before you applied the color?

No, I just applied the colour. It's actually more like a cherry red on top and I like it but I think I am going to add a couple of highlights on the top so it has some really bright red in it.

Got it. But I don't have highlights on the top, so it's very dark there - that's why I want to add a few. I'll be ok if it fades and I have to do touch ups on them when I do my roots....but overall, I don't think the rest will fade much because it's dark red over dark brown.

When I'm done it should look closer to this, but slightly darker, a little more of a dark cherry colour.
