Makes me cry....

Is there any song, movie, poem etc. out there that makes you cry everytime without fail?

What is it? And why do you think it has such a strong effect on you?

I always cry whenever I watch the movie Message in a Bottle, I really have no idea why, but that movie messes me up!!! cry

When I really need to turn the water works on, I watch Extreme Makeover Home Edition! I love being reminded that there is still kindness in this world, and I love the look of relief that washes over the parent's faces!! touched

This song has been making me cry, I think it's just the sweetness in his voice. shrug The lyrics don't hurt either....whoosh... cry

In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

the movie "the iron giant" always gets me, every time i watch it.

i think part of it is that the little boy reminds me so much of myself when i was little - being a latch-key kid, having a single parent, being in a world where i had to entertain myself most of the time so i developed an overactive imagination and a love of robots and comics and all that crazy boy stuff that i still haven't grown out of. redface

i think the other part of it is just how sweet and innocent the robot is, and how it has no idea how powerful it is until the boy has to say "you are not a gun". oh no, i'm tearing up just writing that! touched lol

it's just the sweetest movie ever and it touches on a lot of things that mean something to me.

Say it's just a dream...
U open up ur eyes and come 2 realize
u simply imagined this
So u lean over and give her a kiss
Here on earth, here on earth,
with u it's not so bad
Here on earth, here on earth
eye don't feel so sad
Stay right here

Selena and In the Time of the Butterflies make me cry every time that I see them. Those movies are just sad as hell. I can't help it lol As for songs, the only song that makes me cry is "Triste y Vacia" by Hector Lavoe. Some of the lyrics remind me of a bad time in my life. I can't listen to it shake

i was talking about this with someone recently, and we both realized that we had a tendency to cry while listening to radiohead on our headphones while riding in public transit. try it sometime if you need a good cry - any radiohead album will do!

Robyn's "With Every Heartbeat" did that to me.

I've walked out of places when that song was playing because it's just too much.

I like the fact that it's so real and honest. No sad music playing in the background, no vampires attacking her (except the one at the very end), it was a straightforward, real life accounting of death. Heartbreaking.

I think it was the following episode when Willow and Xander are in the hospital after he loses his eye and they are joking about how he can be a pirate and wear a patch and have a parrot on his shoulder and Willow's laughing suddenly turns into crying. I thought that was incredibly sad. sad

Now it's in the alley behind your apartment with a sign that says it's free.
And I hope you have more luck with this than me.

I get such a clear image in my head of this.... and for some reason it knocks the wind out of me.

Funny huh?

The scene after Selena gets shot and her family is in the hospital and they find out that she has died makes me bust out in tears every single time. I know what's going to happen, but I still do it. lol

I'd translate the lyrics for the song, but I'd cry if I read them lol bawl I'll summarize.... it's about a girl that has gotten her heart broken. She feels betrayed, promises were broken... blahblah...but she hides her feelings from everyone. Toward the end of the song, she begins to unravel. The disappointment and hurt starts showing on her face and then she cries and everyone wonders about what has happened lol disbelief pout

And I swear I just shed a tear just thinking about that damn song lol

I tried to tell him Angel is better, but he won't even watch one episode.
