By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS CHICAGO - Large crowds of people are gathering in Chicago to attend a public memorial for actor and comedian Bernie Mac. Actor Samuel L. Jackson and Mayor Richard Daley are among the speakers expected to pay tribute to Mac at the large House of Hope church. Also expected to speak at the Saturday afternoon gathering are Mac's co-stars from the documentary "The Original Kings of Comedy" - Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley and Cedric The Entertainer. Mac died one week ago Saturday at the age of 50 from what his publicist says were complications from pneumonia. He had been at Chicago's Northwestern Memorial Hospital since the middle of July. ©The Canadian Press, 2008 Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture!
