I make the kid do the dishes. I make the other kid take out the garbage. Vaccuuming is okay. I love dusting. I love my Swiffer.

Washing clothes only sucks b/c I usually have several loads to do @ a time, it takes hours & by the time I'm done I really don't wanna do shit else. & I'm lucky if I fold as I go, otherwise I got a huge pile of clothes on the bed for a damn week! 
I think the absolute WORST is cleaning bathtubs that have those shitty track doors  By the time you blast enough water in those grooves to get out the soap scum, your whole fucking floor is wet. & its hard to get to all the spots without actually getting IN the damn tub, which sucks 'cause then you gotta worry about getting cleaning products on your feet!
Vacuuming & dusting ain't so bad, just boring as hell... The only thing that works for getting in the grooves of my shower door are using an old toothbrush  . I can't tell you how irritating it is to explain to your other half WHY we have to keep up on keeping the shower cleaned regularly, otherwise it leads to a 2 hour saga of me scrubbing tracks with a toothbrush and chemicals equal to weapons of mass destruction. I had to tell him,
"LOOK, do you know that between all the damn chemicals in my hair, and the chemicals in this scum cleaner, when I do this I might COMBUST?. brothaman we gotta keep it clean in here "
Anyhoo...when I have to get inside to do it I just put old plastic shopping bags or disposable shower caps on my feet. Freezer bags work too, to keep your skin from getting irritated 
[Edited 8/18/08 2:05am]  I have a small brush (toothbrush like but w/ longer bristles) that I use, I just wish they didn't put these damn track doors in every single apartment Gimme an old fashioned shower curtain any day!

i'm a better organizer than i am a cleaner. i can arrange clutter in nice, neat stacks and make things look like they're not just a big pile of crap, but i loathe doing things like dusting, mopping, wiping things down, etc.
since i've moved into a house with a washer and dryer, i do laundry pretty often...but that's nothing new. i like doing laundry. it's just laundromats i hate. i'm not a big fan of washing dishes, but if i force myself to do it a few days in a row, i can build up a habit of doing it daily. i'm a fan of grocery shopping, especially if we can go to trader joe's.  | |
