We get Liverpool FCTV out here and sometimes I catch old games, and when I see sides from '98, '99, even up to '05, I quickly try to see who was in the team and when I see who was playing then it makes me glad for the players we've brought in since. I just watched a game against Villa where we were playing Fowler and Morientes up front and brought Cisse on late in the game and thought, 'thank God we now have Torres!'. In other games I've seen Babb, Scales, Ruddock etc. at the back and yet Roy Evans took us to second in the league. There's no doubt the team's better, but is it good enough in this day and age?
