It's cute to curse at your parents. It's cute for your parents to curse at you. It's cute to knock out a neighbor's window. It's cute that 1 out of every 5 words that you speak is a curse word.

The media is accepting this behavior as a normal, everyday family. The media think it's cute. I heard psychologists and family therapists on tv state that the Osbournes is the "everyday, normal family". I even heard Dr. Phil state that this is just your everyday family. Would they say the same thing if the Osbournes was a black family living in the ghetto? Would they say the same thing if the Osbournes was a white family that lived in a trailer park? I don't think so.

The rest of America may think it's cute, but I sure don't. Maybe i'm old fashioned or conservative, but I don't see nothing that is cute when your child is cursing at you or your parents repeatedly hurling curse words at their children.

Unfortunately this is the way their children were brought up. Sharon took them on tour with Ozzy, I don't really think it's the kids fault.

I don't think it's up to any of us to say if they're normal or not to be quite honest. They all love each other, I think that's all that really matters.

I swore at my mother once and I felt sooo rotten. I apologized immediately, it just slipped. With Ozzy and family, it's normal for them so it doesn't phase them. We just criticize because we were let in to see what goes on and it's different from what most of us do.

Listen. They are just WORDS. If you look past the cussing, which is NO BIG FUCKING DEAL, they are very sweet loving parents, and the kids are pretty normal, except for being fairly mature for their ages.

The celebrities would just feel like -- who are you to counsel me? I am a celebrity. I am larger than life. You are just a counselor.
I have heard that a lot of celebrities do go to shrinks. It probably has to be someone good who is used to dealing with people of celebrity status.

I don't think they are a normal family and I don't like the idea that the entire family uses the word 'fuck' at least twice in every sentence.

But...

I think it shows that they do truly all love each other and it seems that Ozzy and Sharon have tried to raise their children in a good way, even though it has to be difficult with the environment they are exposed to. I think they deserve some credit for showing all of us what a loving, caring family is really about.

Ok, where do you people live because I don't know of a family like the Osbournes. It's their business if they accept cussing and disrespect from their children but let's not make them out to be some model family.

Ozzy is entertainment. All I want him to do is try to complete a sentence once on the show so I'm not watching to see nor expect anything "normal".

What exactly IS a "normal" family? Certainly not the fake plastic supermodel token characters on the rest of the "family" tv shows out there.

The Osbournes are intriguing because despite their extravagant lifestyle, rockstar pasts, and other wild things they have been through, they are still very close to eachother and care about eachother, far more than most "normal" families I know.

Why is the word "fuck" such a big deal? Some people put too much emphasis on the vulgarity that they're blinded from the bond that family has.

My family drops the F bomb quite a bit, none of us are drop dead gorgeous, we fight, etc. In that regard its quite normal to me...
