There are many ways to take this statement. And at times, I've interpreted them in various ways.

But I'm learning that struggle, that grief, and that pain, all make a soul more beautiful if it learns to empathize and connect with other souls.

It seems to me that a body that endures physical challenges toughens itself, and starts to look "prettier". A person who allows himself to learn something new constantly , becomes a person who seems so impressive to me.

And yes--a person who has lived through hardship---IF they don't fall into bitterness, ends up being sweeter for it. or at least they end up being more beautiful in my eyes.

My heart melts for when I hear stories of heartache from those I love.. Something about that experience draws me to them. In some ways, it's like Supa's emotional crying before an sexual encounter, or Rushing07's underwear wrestling before, during, after, underneath, on top of, and all around his sexual encounters.

I guess, sometimes, folks say things that stick with me.


What advice or quotes have you heard that stick with you ?

My 6th grade science teacher. She said:

"Canyons are made by rivers".

My mom. She said:

"Get the hell away from that canyon. You'll fall in and die, idiot."
