When I was closeted, and then later, when I wasn't completely at ease with my sexuality, almost all of my friends were women. Since then, they've been almost all male. And mostly straight males. Kinda weird, when I think about it. Or maybe not.  I thought I had too many female friends in elementary school. But after that they've been mostly male. i find the older i get the less free time I have. because i have less free time i am choosy about who i spend it with.
i don't have a huge circle of close friends anymore, but i have enough people to go out with if i want to. so easy to lose touch, but it doesn't bother me. i have three sisters & a brother and they are the people i like to catch up with. my partners friends have become my friends too. which makes socialising easier. my best friend lives in another country so we get about two or three nights out a year, and keep in contact weekly. once you are content with your life and not sitting twiddling your thumbs then that should be enough. don't waste time thinking about what you should have. | |
