That's the impression I got also. I saw a preview where Downey's character is with a black guy that knows Downey isn't really black and Downey makes a reference to black folks' struggle or something as "our" struggle and the real black guy just looks at him like hmm .

I thought the movie was about actors, and he is an actor staying in character...or something like that.

Yeah, the actors are filming a war movie, but then it gets mistaken for a real war somewhere along the lines, I think.

I doesn't matter to me. I don't watch comedies anyway.

This one is supposed to be quite funny. I'll see what my friends think after seeing it...then I will decide whether to see it in the theater or d/l it online.

In general most comedies do suck, but the last movie friends told me I just had to see turned out to be hilarious.

And Sethy-poo was in it so ya, awesome.

Comedies have to be really dark for me to like them. Like Ghost World or Buffalo 66. Juno wasn't bad either. Slapstick stuff is a total turnoff for me.

oooo yeah, Buffalo 66, I liked that, I was trying to remember the name of it a few days ago, haven't seen it in like 3 years. Hey, I like slapstick, it has it's place in the scheme of things.

Buffalo 66 had me ROFL! I normally don't do that. lol

Slapstick comedies in general just seem dumb to me. Too dumb to laugh at.

lol It was funny and very odd, but that's a good thing cause it was a fresh idea that worked.

shrug what can I say some of the dumb stuff has an element in them that I on some level connect with and it makes it hilarious. There are a lot though, especially the stuff the rely heavily on the gross/vulgar factor that I just don't get. To each his own I guess.

I actually kinda wanna see this. lol I wanna see Mirrors even more though. Movies drain so much out of me financially when more than one comes out at the same time.

I was listening to a radio interview with Ben Stiller this morning about this movie. It sounds like it's going to be pretty funny but I'll still probably wait until it comes to DVD.
