The movies
Cool Running Jerry Maguire Hitch always make me cry. So I watch them alone. There are other movies, some songs, but songs don't always make me cry. I did cry the first time I heard 'When Doves Cry', I was so happy for Prince. I knew it was going to be huge. One thing I forgot. My ex- who died last month, gave me a teddy bear (here I go . . . ) that plays 'You are My Sunshine.' He played it the last time I saw him. The bear sits on my dresser facing my bed but I play it less than once a year. It's always been too painful and now more so. [Edited 8/13/08 22:09pm] I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

He does sit through Supernatural each week though... so I'll I can't complain too much. I love Supernatural. it has some heartbreaking moments too.

The Fisher King, when the Robin Williams character has his relapse.
The Fifth Element, when whatsername the supreme being jumps off the building - I've debated this with the master, I DON'T believe at that point she knows what she is, and when she jumps she does so because she sees it as the only option (like those jumping out of the world trade buildings) but my husband says she is confident that she will be OK because she is super human.

I don't think I could watch that one there is no way i could watch that. things that are based on real events break my heart. the cruelty involved in making someone choose between their kids is horrible to contemplate. i couldn't watch 'schindlers list' for more or less the same reasons.
