The org is a wonderful place at times and then again it invades parts of your life that it really should not, it affects your day to day process in a way that a website should not.
Imago for a long time has been nothing more than the butt of my jokes, easy prey and in all honesty just a bossy bottom. However, yesterday he invaded a part of my life that he was never supposed to. He became
embroiled in a way that i never thought he would. An embarrassing insight in to my "friends" from the org slipped in to the public realm and it was Dan that caused it.


Allow me to explain, we have started to clear stuff out in preparation for our move to the US. That and the fact that i like to buy shit means that we had stuff that really was just hanging around the house and not
being used so a few weeks ago i photographed a whole bunch of stuff and put it on e-bay.
Everything was really good apart from some Nigerian scammer trying to buy a phone i had put on there.
To cut a long story short everything sold well after 10 or so days and money was coming in, we were shipping boxes out and everything seemed fine. Then, yesterday i went in to my paypal account and tried to
withdraw $1000 in to my bank account. The transaction went through and then about half an hour later i got an email from paypal saying that my account was on hold pending some further account verification steps. As you
can imagine i was pretty pissed off, i have had the account since 2006 and verified my bank etc etc.

So i called them, pissed, shouted at them and basically i was screwed, i needed to submit proof of address, passport copy and proof of posting on some items or else i could not withdraw any of the $2000 we had
in there for 180 days.

COMPLETE BASTARDS

So i went and got the scanner from the loft, found the power pack, set it up, realised i had not used it since i rebuilt my laptop, downloaded the drivers blah blah bloody blah.
Scanned the documents in and went to the website.

I put in the tracking numbers for the items they requested,and uploaded these two documents for the final proof they needed.




Paypal had informed me that once the information had been loaded it would be 24-72 hours before i could get the account hold removed. Fair enough i thought, i can wait that long as the payments in to my account could still happen for items still selling.

At around 6pm i figured i would just log in to my e-bay account and see how the 2 remaining items were doing and was confronted with a ACCOUNT ON HOLD PENDING PAYPAL VERIFICATION notice. Now this had not been there before so i logged in to paypal to see this




ASSHOLES

I mean you can see what i loaded up, proof of address was easy to see and the incompetent motherfuckers could not even read the miserable pieces of shit.....was my thought process.
Val was getting ready to go out for dinner so i figured i had better sort this out before we leave.
I got on the phone, auto attendant for 11 mins and finally got through to a guy.

I WAS PISSED

I started to give him both barrels

Me "what the hell do you mean you cant see my address from the document, i have it in front of me and it is a clear as day"

Drone answers "let me get the document from your account and check sir"
Me "yeah you do that"
Drone "please hold for one second"
Drone "i have the scan here sir (slight snigger)"
Me "ok and as you can see it has my address at the top"
Drone "errr no sir it does not, it appears to be....."
Me "yes"
Drone "well it appears to be a picture of Julie Andrews with a mans head"

Suddenly it strikes me i had attached this by mistake



I asked him "is she holding a utility bill with my address on it?"
Drone laughing "No sir she isnt and i am pretty sure that is NOT Julie Andrews"

The moral of the story is:

"Imago, stay the hell out of my PAYPAL account
