I'll probably hate them in a month, but I bought one a few weeks ago. i used to wear vintage vests all the time in the 80s, and there's a secret part of me that is SO HAPPY they're making a comeback, even though they still look cheezy as hell. i haven't given in yet, but i'm sorely tempted... Me too, but I don't think I'll be able to pull off the second-hand old man sweater vests or polyester paisley vests I used to rock. They looked so great with mock turtlenecks and t-shirts.

its entirely tooo hot to be going out the damn house with a damn scarf on and all the silly Lil' Wayne worshiping teens are wearing them too but for some reason I love the way they look i have a huge basket full of scarves, i rock a different one everyday [...i think i can, i think i can, i think i can...]

I live near SF where it's always cold @ night, been wearing scarves since high school. I hope to God nobody thinks I'm trying to have anything to do w/ Lil fuckin Wayne just b/c it's cold outside
it's just a style of wearing this scarf and its hot as deep-fried balls here on the east coast, yet I have seen one too many clown asses coming outside with scarves on ...I'm only afraid cause now I'm gonna look like one of those clown asses that one in red, i have in white and in purple [...i think i can, i think i can, i think i can...]

I didn't know they were called Peace Scarves. I've never worn a scarf before, because I don't get cold easily. Plus, I'd get aggravated having something bulky around my neck. Some knitted scarves are cute, but I still have no interest in wearing most of them. They just wouldn't fit in my regular wardrobe. I do like this scarf a lot because it's the 1-Up Mushroom.
It's probably one of the few scarves I'd actually wear. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

The Jonas Bros and ya girl Miley been rockin that trend before Lil Wayne. But I feel where you're coming from. I know Lil Wayne is the rapper of the moment, so he can just have major trend-pull. But heads in NYC been rockin those types of scarves for a whileee. [Edited 8/11/08 14:20pm]

I actually saw someone the other day that had an out and out coldest day of february, "my grandma knitted me this from 9 pounds ofwool and look she even put pom poms on the ends and now I'm going to go dig my car out of the snow so I'll catch ya laters" scarf on!! It was lik 90 degrees out!!!
Overly concerned with being ironic assholes. I'm getting old. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |
