You're on a website talking about a woman speaking Spanish to her dog...and you think she's weird?

Trust me, this woman is weird. As I have said before several times on this thread, this is not the only weird thing that she does. If you lived directly above her, and had to put up with her crap, like I have for 10+ years, you would would say the exact same thing.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

There's nothing wrong with speaking to your pet in your own language. The dog understands repeated commands no matter what language you speak. Is it just because it's Spanish that that makes her crazy? Do you automatically assume dogs speak English?? confused

No, I'm not assuming that dogs speak English, don't get it twisted. confused

is spanish her first language? or maybe she wants to sharpen her skills?

idk...it just doesn't sound that strange to me.

If you knew this woman, trust me, you would think it was strange! lol Guess I find it odd, because most people seem to talk to their dogs in English. shrug

eek But what if your first language is Spanish???

I really don't see what the problem with her speaking spanish to her dog is?
But I guess my dogs would be bilingual as I speak both spanish and english to them lol

lol Same with our dogs....actually I guess technically English is their "second" language since Spanish is spoken to them most of the time.

This actually is not so odd, my neighbor's dog understands: english, spanish and itallian. eek He is Itallian, she is from Mexico, and living in the States, they both speak English as well. I have seen many many times, no matter which one of these 3 languages, they choose to speak...the dog does as he is told. eek

As I have said NUMEROUS times on this thread, it's not just this woman speaking Spanish to her dog that is strange, it's the combination of that and MANY other things as well. This woman speaking Spanish to her dog just adds to her strangeness.
