Trust me, this woman is weird. As I have said before several times on this thread, this is not the only weird thing that she does. If you lived directly above her, and had to put up with her crap, like I have for 10+ years, you would would say the exact same thing. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

dannyd5050 said: There's nothing wrong with speaking to your pet in your own language. The dog understands repeated commands no matter what language you speak. Is it just because it's Spanish that that makes her crazy? Do you automatically assume dogs speak English??
No, I'm not assuming that dogs speak English, don't get it twisted. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

idk...it just doesn't sound that strange to me. If you knew this woman, trust me, you would think it was strange! Guess I find it odd, because most people seem to talk to their dogs in English. But what if your first language is Spanish??? "Always blessings, never losses......"

But I guess my dogs would be bilingual as I speak both spanish and english to them Same with our dogs....actually I guess technically English is their "second" language since Spanish is spoken to them most of the time. . [Edited 8/11/08 12:50pm] "Always blessings, never losses......"

This actually is not so odd, my neighbor's dog understands: english, spanish and itallian. He is Itallian, she is from Mexico, and living in the States, they both speak English as well. I have seen many many times, no matter which one of these 3 languages, they choose to speak...the dog does as he is told.

As I have said NUMEROUS times on this thread, it's not just this woman speaking Spanish to her dog that is strange, it's the combination of that and MANY other things as well. This woman speaking Spanish to her dog just adds to her strangeness. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
