RELIEF GREETS IRAQI ACCEPTANCE OF UN RESOLUTION

TOP NEWS:

Relief Greets Iraqi Acceptance of UN Resolution

by Samia Nakhoui and Jonathan Wright

This is great news, and cause for hope. Everyone
should pray that steps will continue to find
a solution to the problems and the threat of war.

from the article:
"Weapons inspectors were preparing on Thursday
to return to Iraq after it reluctantly accepted
U.N. demands, as neighboring states let out
a sigh of relief in the hope the region might
escape war."

"It said Iraq's compliance with a U.N. resolution
calling for a tough new inspection regime reflected
its "goodwill," adding it should be rewarded by
the lifting of the sanctions imposed after Iraq's
1990 invasion of Kuwait."

Iraq has denied any weapons of mass destruction,
so if this is true, let the inspectors in, and
continue to inspect to rest assure this is TRUE.
Then, by all means, lift sanctions, and continue
to inspect to insure that only good will prevail.

"Thank God Iraq has accepted...We hope Iraq will
cooperate with the United Nations envoys, " said
Saudi Interior Minister Prince Nayef

Thank God is right, and may God continue to help
with this... helping the people.

pray for PEACE

Bush will still find some excuse to bomb the crap out of Iraq. He's a warmongering prick IMO.

and our P.M. Tony Blair is a tosser for always kissing his ass.I don't want to see another 9/11 or Bali atrocity, but we will because of this stance the west is taking.

this will go on for years, perhaps it'll be a lifetime or more before this is over. sad

Bush is a man of peace. At least that is what he said.

Echo say:

This is the 1st positive step to take. There is a long
way to go. Iraq has accepted the U.N. resolution and
has decided to let inspections begin. If the sanctions
are lifted, they will have to make sure that the supplies
will be used for helping their people, for their water, etc.

Some say war is inevitable, but, if these necessary steps
are taken, and inspections are continued, and there are
truly no weapons of mass destruction, why war? What is
needed is total cooperation with all parties. Iraq has been given until 12/8 to give accurate and complete
details of weapons programs.

That is why I say pray for PEACE!
