Okay, is anyone else besides me getting sick and tired of this mindless drivel that is being shelled out into the Box Office Market Public as a legitimate satirical motion picture film? I find the irony in the title, because in the end, The Scary Movie Franchise (As well as its many pointless, redundant spin-offs!) is forcefully fucked in the ass, when it comes to quality! Who writes this shit, now?!!? The Wayans Bros. are such fucking whores for monetary value! They keep letting "FOX" sodomize their material to fragments.

I don't watch these movies anymore as all they are is just gags on current references and really aren't that funny and seem thrown in just because.

There ought to be a movie called "STUPID MOVIE" that cleverly skews all of these movies at the same time skewing the movies they do.

I was once a fan of the movies. I'm obviously not going to die if they continue with milking this bullshit they call comedy. It's just kind of nerve racking to see a franchise that once was legitimately funny in a sense and served an authentic purpose at the hands of its original owner crumble to pieces in the hands of another.

The only good spoof movies are "Scary Movie 1", "Don't be a Menace While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood", "Fear of a Black Hat", and "Spinal Tap"

these movies are going to be weird relics in 20-25 years time, when our kids or our grandkids discover them and puzzle over what grampy and memaw thought was funny back in the old timey days.

The thing is, they USED to be funny because they actually made a mockery of certain things like pop culture, cliches in movies etc.

Nowadays, the writers have somehow become the dumbest people ever, and all they do is...SHOW these references or...have a piano falling on them on something.

Like Date Movie, which I was DRAGGED to see, had a J.Lo impersonator and instead of being potentially hilarious like the Tom Cruise impersonation in Scary Movie 4, it was just...some chick pretending to be J.Lo. It's not funny to just reference something! Why don't they get that? Or when did they stop realising what parody comedy is?

All the J.Lo chick did was speak with a latin accent and had a huge butt. Yeah, I'm dying of laughter here.

Compare that to the Tom Cruise impersonation and you've just gotta wonder where it all went wrong.

Anyway, I haven't bothered with these movies since being forced into Date Movie.

Best thing we can do is ignore them until they make the effort again.

i'm curious to watch one of those crap movies just to see how bad they are. sometimes i like really stupid comedy, but there's stupid and there's stupid. i'm guessing these flicks fall into the latter category.

The Wayans Bros. left the Scary Movie franchise after the second movie. It was taken over by one of the creators of "Airplane" and the "Naked Gun" series, and they replaced the Wayans with Leslie Nielsen. Scary Movie 3 and 4 got even dumber, but those are on par with the Godfather trilogy compared to their horrible knockoffs Date Movie, Epic Movie, Superhero Movie and Meet the Spartans. I find it quite ironic that the next parody that they are running into the ground is Disaster Movie, which may signal the end of the parody movie as we know it, especially since these parody movies got their start from Airplane, which in and of itself was a parody of the disaster movies of the 1970's.
