I think Marvel's done a very good job with their comic book movies.
WAY better than I expected.

Someone will always complain, but hey!
I've really enjoyed MOST of Marvel's movies. Except I never saw The Hulk one and I WILL admit the X men films were a travesty.

Captain America isn't the first Avenger, though. He was actually the LAST of the original members to join, and he's only honorarily one of the founding members.

I think my spirit has just been broken when it comes to nerdness. I used to be SO CONCERNED with canon when it came to book-based/game based, whatever movies...
Now, I'll just take a GOOD movie, even if it isn't EXACTLY like the source.

We're gonna be seeing ALOT of comic-based movies in the next 2 years

There also making movies based on these anime/manga titles:
DragonBall Z
Battle Angel Alita(James Cameron is doing this one)
Robotech
Astro Boy
Akira

I believe you mean Black Panther. His still around, he was briefly part of the Fantastic 4 recently, along with his wife Storm!

the Dr Strange movie will be cool, but it depends on how they do it. I think its going to be a MASSIVE CGI fest.

There is also going to be a Magneto movie too at some stage, and possibly X-Men 4 as well.

Dunno about Ant Man tho, was never really a fan of him and don't think there is much of a market for it. I would prefer if they did a Deadpool movie instead woot!

Holy crap!! They aint joking. I have been waiting 4 years for them to do the Green Lantern movie. I guess GL will never hit the big screen. But, as long as Marvel is dropping movies, I will be at the movies. Dang, Thor and the Avengers, Dr. Strange..... drooling

DC, for many reasons, was stupid with its characters. They signed so many different licensing deals that it's harder for them to make the kinds of movies that Marvel can at this point. It's really too bad.

I really hope the Doctor Strange movie is done right, because it could be some really beautiful eye candy.

I am not one of those people who likes to roll his name out for every upcoming movie that gets mentioned, but Johnny Depp would make an AMAZING Dr. Strange...and while we're at it, this would be a really sweet Tim Burton vehicle, especially if they kept true to the old skool Steve Ditko look of the 60s comics. Surreal, whimsical, color overload - totally up Burton's alley.

I agree it will be awesome if they do take the same tone the 60s comics does. I showed one of my friends who has no clue about comics some old school Dr Strange and just said its trippy and he opened it up to one page and just got blown away by all the colours and the like. The only thing I dislike about the 60s comics is that they explain every single little thing thats going on. Sure it is kind of needed for Dr Strange but it can detract a little bit from everything. But his awesome none the less

Yeah but I don't think he will be a very big part. He will most likely be some crappy cameo in the Weapon X stuff sad

I'm excited for every single one of these....except perhaps nick fury. He's a great character and all but i just don't imagine it being a lot different story line then the rest of the marvel movies.

Yeah, he was pretty awful. I could never get into the way he talked. "Yon villain must be stopped! He doth not knoweth the power I haveth!" Who has time for that?

His an Asgardian warrior he has to talk that way otherwise it wouldn't fit in with his whole heritage razz

The Nick Fury movie will be a lot like The Punisher movies. But less hardcore....unless they continue with the Ultimate version of Fury (Samuel L Jackson) But it will be more guns and explosions rather than super powers and lazer beams lol

Are you kidding? Thor's one of the baddest cats in the Marvel Universe. Get the right director, make it big-spectacle(Lord of the Rings), hire Walt Simonson as a consultant, and you'll have a kick-ass movie.

Dr. Strange has always been one of Marvel's most offbeat characters. Who's better at playing offbeat characters than Johnny Depp?

I read that last week. I believe Red Sonja was originally created by Conan The Barbarian writer Robert E. Howard. When Conan was licensed to Marvel, the company also published the Red Sonja books. Now that the Conan license has expired, Red Sonja comics are currently published by a different company, Dynamite Entertainment.

I'm not sure if Rose can pull it off. I always pictured someone a little more amazonian. And a natural redhead would have been nice.

I saw Hulk this weekend. If you hated the Ang Lee film, then you should like this one. It's much truer to the book and there were some cool nods to the TV show. Of course the depth of the first film is totally missing, but I'm guessing Hulk fans aren't really into that anyway. They just want to see Hulk smash. And he does a lot of that.

no he's talking about The Phantom. that was done already.

personally i feel that The Dark Knight will be blow everything and anything out of the water this year. I have this feeling that it's going to be the gold standard for superhero films.
