I'm still in Undergrad. I'm an Accounting major and I'm minoring in Latin American Studies. My grades are alright, but I know that I could do better. I find that I've been doing much better since I don't live on campus or even in the town where I go to school anymore. Too many distractions there

I often feel I'll be an undergrad for the rest of my days. Studying Biz Management at Univ. of Phoenix. Don't let the slick web-ads fool ya... A working class Hero is something to be ~ Lennon

Just get it done. I keep telling people that U of P is a lot more work than a traditional classroom setting. They think online = easy. My roommate is getting his Masters on UofP and he's constantly stressed out because of all the assignments. Thank God I'm done with all that. I got my Masters 9 years ago and have no desire to go back to school. But those of you in the midst of it must stay encouraged and persevere. It's worth it.

Thanks for the encouragment, I SO need it... the pace they keep is maddening and if you get stuck in a weak "learning team" (aka pack of morons), you wind up doing ALL the work by yourself and they take the credit... I'm in Grad school, studying for my MBA with a concentration in Marketing. I'm in my third to last class and I have a 3.7 GPA
I started out doing one class a quarter (I work full time) in the evenings after I got off from work. Then my bright ass wanted to get cute and started taking two at a time which nearly killed me. I only did that twice and after that I switched to doing the rest of my classes online which has been truly a load off. Don't have to up in some classroom until 10pm. I can just log in and complete my assignments by the end of the week. I just aced my midterm so that means I don't have long till this class is over with. This my third to last class, so all I need to do is complete two more and I'm done with school forever!!! I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

They "say" it prepares you for the working world but if that is the way the working world "works" then consider me retired. The worst part is they don't allow you to opt out of working in a team. But damnyum, society is changing. With a Masters, it's tough...a mofo needs a PhD to get what he wants... There are a lot of educated fools on the org! .

I was in a meeting two weeks ago and a colleague that got his degree on UofP said the same thing about it preparing you for working in the real world. I'm like that's okay, I'll pass.

For me Grad school is a whole lot easier than Undergrad. I felt like I was alwyas struggling with my grades then..maybe it was all the distractions and partying. I do know this though I have alwaus hated finance and economics classes...but give me a writing class and I'll ace it with no problem. I churn out my best papers at the last minute. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I've got a B.S. in psychology and in January I'm going to nursing school.
How do I deal with college life? I don't. I'm a single mom to two kids. Don't have time to have a life period.

I got my Master's degree a year ago in Social Work. I now work as a social worker with hospice.

I finished my undergrad degree under protest (and after a long hiatus)...because I knew I'd never work in the private sector in my profession without it. It didn't make me smarter or a better writer - it just cost a lot of money.
Higher education is, in many ways, a racket. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
