Dear Carrie and Anx,

Tonight I went to visit our brand new Mega Trader Joe's 60 seconds from my front door. I am quite certain it is the largest and best stocked Trader Joe's in the entire world.

I purchased a container of Organic Hummus and Trader Joe's Multi seed Corn Tortilla flat breads which are low fat,sugar free and contain no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. To which end, I am in heaven.

it's so sad, i haven't been to trader joes in WEEKS.

of course, it's also summer so i haven't really been cooking much.

you know about my fixation with their simmer sauces, but one very overlooked item i always make sure to stock up on is their canned corn. TJs has the YUMMIEST canned corn...and i typically loathe canned veggies. but their stuff's great! and cheap!

i think it has to be the thai green curry, though the korma sauce is great with peas and sauteed spinach added to it (and whatever kind of meat - i use tofu but i'm sure chicken would go great with it too).

i also dig their stir fry sauces. the general tso sauce is divine. we tried the TJs black pepper stir fry sauce and it was...interesting. very intense. if you are brave enough to try it, use it sparingly!

That Organic Hummus is the best one, I think.
I like their guacamole + salsa...their flaxseed/veggie tortilla chips, their chilled grilled chicken strips, their pizzas are all good, the frozen Kung Pao Chicken is great, all their types of cookies are amazing, all their facial products/laundry and cleaning soaps all rock. The only things I don't like are their brand of morningstar farms products and their pet products. Everything else is fabu!!

the pizza dough is good.

i love the frozen alsace pizza -- they call it a tart and recommend it as appetizer, but for me, it's a perfect one person pizza.

the Dynamo juice is yummy and a staple in my fruit smoothies.
