I was just talking with a friend online, and I realized that all I need is some people to get behind a few ideas and I can do almost anything regarding my writing and music ablilties to start a very productive business in audio/visual arts. But there are a few catches...

1. I am not what the media defines as "sexy" because I am not "ripped" and I don't weigh 100 pounds.

2. I am getting near 30, I am white (not that it matters) and I make R&B, Funk, Hip-Hop, Rock, and Gospel music.

3. I am a bit overweight, "chubby" is a good term.

4. I can't stand mainstream culture, with the exception of clothing styles, like Van Huesen, Abercrombie, Old Navy, etc...

5. I am not a member of any political party or "religious" organization.


That said, if you can promote, let's do it.

JD, what are you looking for? Your music is very specific, limited in fact to the "Christian Music" genre.

You'd be surprised at how an "original" looking character can make it big. Tony Soprano, Rush Limbaugh, lots of interesting folks, have character without fitting the barbie-doll-for-men mold. Just don't ever approach MTV.

Me too Jason! I totally feel what you are saying about not being mainstream. I do believe that I write good music and with the right promotion and production/equipment I can at least pay my rent with my creativity instead of have a day job.

Even though your message is a bit specific, no one can deny that your music is FUNKY. I hope you find someone to back you up!

i like your music that i've heard so far... just go with the no image thing... do YOUR thing man...and hopefully people will connect with it...good luck
