Currently doing Master's in inorganic chemistry. If radical characterization and coordination to nickel works then I will direct transfer to a Ph.D
Did pretty well academically in undergrad (better than I would have liked to sometimes). Obtained highest (maybe second highest) average of convocating class of thousands. I don't know because my university has enough full time undergrads to give two silver medals. My friend got the gold medal for highest graduate school average the same year. | |

I finished my Master's three years ago. (Seems like a long time ago and not that long somehow.) I don't know what my GPA was in grad school---I got all As and Bs. If you got less than that, you would be on probation. I had a 4.0 in my major (Art History) as an undergrad.  I got my master's in Modern Art and Critical Theory, and it was fucking hard. To this day I don't know how:
a. I got accepted to the program (they only take about 20 people a year) b. how I managed to make it through. I always felt like such a fraud when it seemed like the other people in my program understood Deleuze, Derrida, Kant, Guatteri, and I was . The middle of the first semester I was seriously wondering what the fuck I had gotten myself into; but I knew if I dropped out I would be pissed at myself and all the hard work it had taken for me to get there.
I guess I learned a lot, but I still feel stupid when I hang out with my grad school friends. We are all a bunch of contemporary art nerds, but they seem so much smarter than me.  | |
