Too hot in my house...and its were I hide it from the kids behind the broccoli and your right it does bloom if it goes from hot to cold but when I chop a piece off I let it warm to room temperature before I take a bite. Like most high-fat foods, chocolate absorbs other flavors very easily. But, hey...if you like broccoli-flavored chocolate, far be it from me to criticize. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. Contrary to almost everybody on this thread I don't like dark chocolate at all, it's too bitter for my liking. I've ran afoul a lot of nasty dark Chocolate, lately. I think I've been buying it too cheap. Kinda turned me off it. Has anyone ever got that Ferrero kind of chocolate? Is that any good? I love chocolate! I was a huge Hershey Kiss fan growing up, but I actually prefer a good, smooth European semi-sweet dark chocolate these days.
As for the typical American whose idea of good chocolate is Hershey, M&M, Snickers, or Milky Way, they are seriously deprived. The best chocolate I've had has been this Belgian chocolate (I believe the one I had was Callebraut). It's so sooth and creamy and sweet but not overbearing. It's pure nirvana. Each December, I would make truffles from the Callebraut dark and white chocolates and make truffle filling for my chocolate truffle cake. Then I would bring the cake to work, and my fellow co-workers would be dazzled beyond belief.

Oh, that was so good, I thought I'd died. Trying to eat it all would definitely kill you, it's not possible.

Although I'll eat any kind of chocolate really, I still love Lindt,
both dark and milk...but especially dark...absolute melt in your mouth loveliness.
