How to shrink jeans? I got a pair the other day because they were a rare extra long, but a size up from what I normally wear. In the store they fit alright, but now that I've washed them they're baggy. Anybody know the best way to shrink them successfully??

aren't you supposed to fill a bath with hot water and then put on the jeans and lay in the tub for a while? i saw that in a commercial once. maybe they were just trying to be all sexy like.

wash in hot water and put in the dryer on high. whenever i do that by accident, everything shrinks.

I think you can do that but it just sounds so undesirable.

I think you can do that but it just sounds so undesirable. wet denim is skanky, i agree. i agree with the high heat dryer method. i fry most of my clothes to keep them nice and smug. i probably shouldn't do that, but oh well.

Wash in HOT water, then chiuck them in the dryer for a long time on a high setting. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Ah, I saw a Mythbusters episode about this. They were trying to see if lying in the bath trying to shrink your jeans could kill you. It didn't kill the dude who tried it, but it did shrink the jeans a lot.

wash in hot water and put in the dryer on high. whenever i do that by accident, everything shrinks. Yup. This should help...but it probably won't shrink too much.
