Peace out Kyle Farnsworth! don't forget to take your gas can and lighter with you on the way out!!!
I hope your unlocatable one hundred mile an hour fastballs do just as shitty for the Detroit Tigers as they did for the Yankees. That's three solid trades for the Yankees that cost next to nothing. And Manny says the Red Sox don't deserve him.....mwahahahahahaha real baseball always starts after the All-Star game.....

I read this on the NY Daily News site this afternoon. Acquiring Pudge is good, but can the Yanks bullpen really pick up the slack without Farnsy? They were tossing cookies to the Orioles batters before today's game.
I read Farnsy was near tears when he was told he was traded. . [Edited 7/30/08 18:52pm]

I read Farnsy was near tears when he was told he was traded. . [Edited 7/30/08 18:52pm] how much worse can it be? He was the EPITOME of inconsistent. and with Jorge out for the season, Pudge fills that hole. Pitching is always going to be their problem, but it's ALWAYS the inconsistency that drives you nuts. I think it's a GOOD trade. Not sure what Ivan has left on his contract, but he could be traded once Posada is healthy again. Lots of options. Def a good trade for the Yanks.

So is Veras the 8th inning guy now? I'm amazed Girardi was able to get as many good innings out of Farnsworth as he did. I think Ivan is in the last year of his contract so he's just a rental for the remainder of the season.

In retrospect, moving Joba into the rotation was a very good move. I didn't foresee 3/5 of the opening day starting rotation being on the disabled list for most of the season. What's all this about the Bosox trading Manny to the Marlins?

Manny got traded to the Dodgers! The Bosox in return get Jason Bay from the Pirates in a three-way deal. The big winner in this trade is the Yankees. No way does Jason Bay bat .500 against them like Manny did.

Yankees got spanked last night. No surprise the Angels won as they've had the Yankees' number for the last ten years, but Pettite gave up way too many runs. How much of that can be attributed to working with Ivan who has the reputation of not being a pitcher's catcher?

That's exactly what I chalked it up to. Honestly, anything positive we get out of Andy is a plus for me. I didn't think he'd be any good last season either.

Ivan is the Yanks' primary catcher now and he needs to get good performances out of every start from Pettite, Moose and Joba for the rest of the season. 'Cos Ponson and Rasner got nothin'.

I hate the Angels, they own the Yankees. I'm amazed the Yanks were able to salvage a split this weekend. They were fortunate that the Angels decided to throw yesterday's game. Three more against them in Anaheim this weekend.
