Strange.. i can see it at the moment.
The movie is Mishima- a life in four chapters, its based on the life ofthe japanese novelist.
The movie opens with the last day in his life when hes preparing his suicide, i like the mood that builds up with the dramatic music, you can feel that this is the last day of his life.

Why does this film hold such a special meaning for you HH, if I may ask... aside from its brilliance, cleverness and so on...

There are movies and movies. Movies that thrill you, entertain or move you. I can be overjoyed about movies like Star Wars A New Hope or laugh abundantly at Muriel's Wedding.

But there are some movies that seem to have it ALL. The right casting, the right dialogue, the right locations, the right music. Of all the movies I have seen, Amadeus is the movie that has it ALL. It's THE movie of movies to me; it holds joy, sadness and horror all in one. It's magnificent. Every characted is of course caricaturized, but in such a brilliant fashion; it is a true joy to watch (and listen to) evvery single time.
It lifts my spirits with it's music or moves me with tears just five minutes later. It's a rollercoaster, it's brilliant; I love it.
