i learned about sharks from a friend who took me sea-kayaking in la jolla cove the day a great white shark killed a man a few miles away at one point i thought i saw something large, and white, pass under my kayak. could have been a rock

anyway, the experience prompted me to take a real interest in sharks and they are truly facsinating. been around for millions of years, and we don't even know that much about them. some reports say they play games and have a complex social life, but we don't even know that much for sure.
