The Woman Who Lives Downstairs From Me Talks Spanish To Her Dog! It's true, there have been several occassions when I have passed her outside while she was walking her dog, and I heard her speaking Spanish to it. Other neighbors in this building have noticed this as well. I always knew that the woman downstairs was a wacko bitch, but this just confirms it. She's a real piece of work, lemme tell ya! No wonder her husband left her for some other woman! [Edited 8/9/08 16:09pm] RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

If you lived directly above this woman, as I have for the past 10+ years, trust me, you would say the same thing. Please don't pass judgement on me, when you don't even know me personally, or know the circumstances involved. [Edited 8/9/08 16:20pm] RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Not just her talking Spanish, but just the way this woman acts, and the things she does. I could go on and on forever about it, but this woman just gets more and more weird all the time. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

idk...it just doesn't sound that strange to me. If you knew this woman, trust me, you would think it was strange! Guess I find it odd, because most people seem to talk to their dogs in English. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Is Russian a hard language to learn? I'm part Russian (on my mom's side of the family). This woman's first language is English, but she is a Spanish teacher, so maybe that explains why she talks to her dog in Spanish. I think because I (and others in this building) find her to be odd, that it just adds to her weirdness. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

You said English is her first language and she is a Spanish teacher? Well is the woman of Latin descent?
Because I don't find this odd at all. My parents speak Spanish to their dog. (but my family is also of Latin descent) Proud Memaw to Seyhan Olivia Christine ,Zoey Cirilo Jaylee & Ellie Abigail Lillian

Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.
