Corporate America recognizing average black culture. If you look on the TC< radio, magazines, newspapers, malls, and movies there's plenty of things acknowleging lower income black people.
Apparently CLear Channel and Mtv think most blacks live in the ghetto. They play Hip Hop all day and nite long. As we look on the screen there are plenty of examples of young blacks being hood, talking and dressing uneducated, and rolling through hoods with systems bumpin. But when will the acknowledge blacks whom live in average and even suburban neighborhoods? {erhasps in the past it was so but in the new century we've seen mor eblacks living in middle-income suburbs than ever before. Sooo many of them don't act stereotypically black. Infact there are so many I would think they could support a music and film industry. But we don't see them. Too often is a black guy speaking ebonics on TC than properly. Combine this witht he many hispanics, asians, and east indians who talk more like something out of and Alicia Silverstone mvie than their traditional stereotypes Hollywood should have realised long ago that there are far more than just white valley boys and girls. If they even get mentioned at all. Asians, latinos, and indians hardly ever get any recognition. So do yout think Hollywood will change, should change or has changed? Working up a purple sweat.

Hollywood will always do what is most profitable. So it depends on the demand and then the filmmakers will follow that trend.

I keep seeing movies and ads that pick one out of each nationality/race (making sure they represent diversity in today's society - an aim that started off nobly enough I guess, with the whole PC thing) and yet then slap em with all their stereotypical "traits". They really like to put everyone in their neat little categories, and apply what they see are typical and expected "appropriate" behaviours

spell edit This is in large part true. I'm not sure about the original question though. Are we talking about corporate America, or Hollywood? There's definitely racism in both the corporate world and in the portrayals shown in the entertainment world, but they're different animals. The Normal Whores Club

But if electing a black president in order to look like a nation that has embraced all its people is good for corporate America, then big business will let it happen. Follow the $$ to the truth.

What I'm asking is will or has Hollywood ever made an industry out of middclass modern non-stereotypical people of every race.
And yes Hollywood has money and when there's money there's corporate America. Just the merchandise and clothing has to do with corporations. Working up a purple sweat.

it's only since about 2 years that people with other roots are starting to pop up in Belgian TV shows and as news anchors, journalists or stand-up comedians. You think the US is bad ? Think again. Our national TV station only introduced the first black presenter this July
