The General Discussion forum posters versus the Prince: Music and More forum posters. Okay, here is the $25,000,000 question...
Do the "fams" that post all of that inane, ass-kissing drivel on the Prince: Music and More forum really think that Prince comes in and reads their most sickeningly obsequious posts and that he will remember them by name and love them and perhaps send them a non-denominational holiday greeting card or perhaps a free copy of the Watchtower for their undying loyalty? In my very limited experience in the Prince: Music and More forum, I have found that the "fams" are as rabid in the face of adversity as the wildest feral dog eating at the carcass of a dead moose. Although they think that it is a little love fest over there, they forget that descending on anyone who questions their great and mighty master like a pack of murderous automatons is not very loving or understanding. They preach love but practice hate and intolerance. NOW, the General Discussion forum participants, on the other hand, are more honest with their thoughts. We tend to be more accepting of others and do not vociferously decry anyone who criticizes Prince... and those who DON'T accept other people's viewpoints are at least fun to argue with whereas the "fams" just drop lame insults and run. At least there are some intellectual disussions in the General Discussion forum, whereas there is nothing but fawning famdom in the Prince: Music and More forum. Exactly how intellectually stimulating can discussing Prince, Prince's underwear, Prince's latest vegetarian meal, etc. be? We need to have a forum war... that would be fun.

Ice you should check out the news topics...especially the one up there now with the picture of Prince and Mani. It's amazing how some of these fams can predict Prince and Mani's feelings/relationship and they even say they can tell she's pregnant!

I was a fan of the 'If Prince farted, would you buy it?' thread. Beyond that i've gotten a little bored of the prince forum. Unfortunately, my job doesn't give me enough time to joust in the GD forum all day either. For the most part, i go right to the hottest topics and comment on the boards i like. | |

The folks over there are obsessed and don't even realize it. I guess its just that...as much as I f*cking adore Prince, there's only so much you can discuss, and I've diiscussed it all, back when I 1st joined. Nothing really changes, and when it does, its discussed. Until those times, all that's new is in GD -------------------------------------------------
