The woman is corny. She is full of shit! However, the whole children are off-limits remark is bollocks. I say if you are a good enough comedian, you can make a mockery of those who point the fingers at the irony of what is and isn't accepted in this overly sensitive society. Let's just face it. This isn't an admonishment nor endorsement of anything Mylie has done, but I find it interesting that 15 year olds , in order to survive in the music business , feel compelled to totally re-invent themselves as sexpots to maintain some musical legitimacy.
One need only look at the 80s pop stars Debbie Gibson and Tiffany to see that staying "wholesome" into early adulthood is a deathnail to their careers. Yet, going crazy ala Briteny Spears didn't help her career any either. Ultimatly, one could say that child singers are more or less doomed whether they have talent or not. Look at poor Hansen. Those guys are actually VERY talented, and they're mostly just fodder for jokes. It's almost like society has a collective perverse interest in watching innocence be defiled, whether of its own accord or through our cruelty. Mylie and Billy Ray are just a bunch of spoiled Hicks trying to navigate that tricky landscape of our pop culture, and Kathy Griffen is only reflecting what most folks who buy into this culture think.
