I dated three guys from the south, one from Lousiana, one from Kentucky and one from Texas and each of them nearly instantly declared us married! I mean, I have certainly been with guys that I wanted to declare my instant devotion to but I usually wait more than 2 dates to contemplate it

Literally, the guy from Texas on our second date declared us boyfriends. the guy from Kentucky went into a deep dark hole when I only stayed 2 out of 3 weekend days even though we had been dating regularly for 2 months and the other was talking about rushing away and getting married in the second week

Are Southern guys like this? Were these guys maybe just repressed in their original surroundings and now like vampires in the more open society that they live in? Has anybody else experienced this? I'm from California so it's a little more fast paced out here and we usually take a little bit of time, or forever before committing

The women are just as crazy. I ended up engaged to a girl from Tennessee about 10 years ago - she wanted us to elope after a few days! It ended when I realized that her endearing unpredictability was actually a sign of some sort of mental instability.

I blame the shallow gene pool and too much religion.

Not like the southern guys I have dated. Maybe age has to do with it. Those younguns are gung ho on getting hitch. Sometimes the olderones too...but I always see younger guys get together and before you know it, they are moved in together. Never lasts though.

Naw...most guys in the South will love u then leave u nowdays. Im from Mississippi and I live in LA now. I think u got some weirdos who either were too dominate or never had too many girlfriends. I think the guys in LA are too flighty and too busy to have a relationship.

But I did date dudes that got a little attached quickly, but I yanked them back to reality.

And not to be RACIAL about it, I found that most of the White men I dated wanted to be serious....way serious way quicker than other odd categories we lump people into. There was one that just got so wrapped up.... And he wasn't Southern.
