they breed the hell outta dogs and sell them with the sole purpose of making money, they dont care about the wellbeing of the animals, they are usually kept in horrible conditions

its really bad, and they are EVERYWHERE!

maybe, an ebay version for puppies or sellers pay puppyfind.com commission for advertisements. I am sure puppy mills fuckers post their ads and sell off sick untreated pups to their customers.

theres no way that a person could specialize in all those kinds of breeds and do it well and safely.

I saw this documentary on tv a few weeks ago, about a man who bought the dogs that were old and done breeding, from a puppy mill.
He could have them or else they got shot.. he gives the 'old' dogs a new life..
The Puppys are sold to petswtores.. so DON"T BUY YOUR PUPPY AT A PETSTORE!!
It looks terrible those puppy mills.. disbelief

Looks like a pet store to me.

My father was in the pet industry for 20 +/- years. We never "caged" our dogs. They were in pins. Never in cages like you see there in in most pet stores.
Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

Ppl that own puppy mills are sad and disgusting ppl.

I told my friend all about them and she still went to the pet store and bought a Papillon for $1300.
This dog has had more issues, behavioral and health.

It is sad because she loves this dog so much but it will never be a normal dog.

Unless I adopted a dog from the pound or a breed rescue, I want to see the parents and where they are breed and raised as pups.

Any accredited breeder will do. You have to have all sorts of licences and all that. I would never even buy from a pet store.

My mom and I had a bad experience with a breeder. She was well known in the area and had been breeding two different breeds for years.
What happened with her was she breed and showed dogs for so long, they just became money to her.
She did not care about the actual breed as a whole, she just saw the dollar signs.
Sad really. You have to look for ones that are passionate about the breed and interested in preserving the good qualities of the breed.
I tend to stay away from popular breeds these days because of past experiences.

Absolutely nothing, just marketing.

Any breeder with THIS many puppies is definitely a mill. If you can't show up unannounced and ask the owner to walk you around freely so you can check out the conditions and see your dogs actual parents, it's a mill. sad

thats what i was thinking,
its not that they have dogs for sale - lots of folks breed dogs and thats fine.
its that there are so many and they are all different breeds... i have no idea if its a mill or not, it just made me wonder because of what i saw.

i have a huge heart for the pups out there, if i could i would take them all in sigh
