When they did the make-up for me to go on TV it took over an hour it seemed they needed to do a LOT of work. Now to get myself all nice and tanned and in shape, keep all my stray hairs in check, nails, dress properly (which would require SHOPPING ) I would not have time to do anything else A TV makeup job is different from a regular person/walking around in the world makeup job, so that's kind of a skewed judgment. I dunno, I consider myself pretty well maintained & it definitely doesn't take me all day I won't lie, there's maintenance to look a certain way but it shouldn't take up anyones LIFE unless their wealthy & completely aimless Some of us need more work than others, though. If I wanted to be "hot" it would be a full time job. I'd have to work out 5 hours a day and that's just the beginning. I settle for "cute" and spend an hour getting ready each morning. Maybe an hour and a half getting ready when I go out at night. |

Well, people would probably classify me as high-maintenance and I spend all of 20 minutes a day to get ready - shower included and then I take maybe a hour all week to do other stuff like nails and other girlie stuff. I think it's a bit of a fallacy that it takes a long time for people to look (what they think at least is) their best.

As an aside, purple hippie, some single moms do tend to date just about anyone for fear that no one wants them bevause they have kids. Some women will just think you are an attractive man and those women just happen to have kids. If you choose to meet these women, you will know right away which is the case. Good luck. Hey, I just noticed your comment about what I said on other thread. Thanks for the encouragement. I will have to work through some self-esteem issues myself before I get REALLY serious about the dating game. Of course I hope that those single moms find me attractive or at least "interesting"... obviously they don't know see or know anything about me except what I look like and some very basic info about my interests. I will admit that I'm getting a bit desperate these days but I WILL NOT date a woman just for the sake of dating her. After checking out the profiles of those girls I mentioned earlier in the other thread, I did notice that one of the two was like I mentioned, not exactly conventionally attractive, but still attractive in a "quirky" way. Maybe some consider those kind of women "ugly" but like many say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Oh, and sorry for this brief de-tour of the thread.

I have to add a small story to this reply maybe even some questions. I'm in a relationship with an awesome girl. I truely love her. but i do kind of love someone elese as well. My female friend and best friend in general. I've known my best friend for about 7 - 8 years now and am wildy attracted to her personallity and looks. She lives 4 hours away though so i only see here a few times a year aside from on cam. The girl i'm dating is wonderful personality wise but i don't find myself as wildly attracted to her physically. Don't get me wrong, i still find her attractive but in comparison i'm just not as wild about her. It's always had me a little worried but i believe in loyalty and i would never cheat. I've recently started thinking that my girl is better for me because i know she cares for me. Plus i know that if i were to get involved with my best friend things wouldn't be the same as they are, right now she can cheer me up from a hellish day with just a few words or a smile. I'm sure if we started more it wouldn't be as easy for me to cheer up with just a grin. Whereas my girlfriend although she doesn't have the grin cheer up shes got many tricks up her sleeves.
So in my opinion, not the ugly but the less infatuated love wins. Theres no room for change if you're infatuated witht he way someone looks. It could make a dream girl not a dream anymore. more or less a broken dream. "The is no great genius without some touch of madness" -Seneca

No, get better, hotter people to be with. maybe the hotter people aren't better? i don't know, all i know is that i'd have a hard time marrying someone who i wasn't sexaully attracted to. if i have to close my eyes, avoid touching areas that i don't like, and imagine someone else during sex then the relationship is probably not going to last.
