A lot of Plain Janes are just as beautiful as "hot" girls, just not as superficial.

Beautiful on the inside?

perhaps just not spending as many thousands on maintenance, fake tan, manicures, clothes, personal trainers.
There is enormous potential behind plain janes like me lol I just choose to focus my time and money on other more worthwhile pursuits.

I don't think there's much correlation betweeen looks and being a great spouse lol

It's like all those folks who always harp on how stupid pretty women must be--how is THAT true? lol I saw something on 20/20 once that did prove that good looking people, in general, did much better on dates and interviews, etc. etc. than ugly people because their looks were always factored into the situation. However, this doesn't mean a good looking person is necessarily dull or stupid. That mentality is just silly lol

I know a guy who has a remarkably ugly wife. And I'm not being mean, folks--I mean, this woman is u-g-l-y without an alibi. but she's not a particularly great wife either. She's lazy, neurotic, and sooooo insecure about her looks that he isn't even allowed to eat at Hooters with the rest of the guys. She makes him pretty miserable if anything.

I'm not saying that being ugly is the reason for that behavior in her either. We all have our insecurities after-all. What I'm saying though is that there can't be much of a correlation between one's looks and wether they'll be a good partner. At least, I don't think there is. shrug

So people who do all that maintenance (as you put it) don't also do things like this? Or at least, that is the stereotype?

I'd pose for you in exchange for photography lessons!

I think that I'm able to take good photgraphs that look pretty but I really hit a wall trying to take creative pictures. I get ideas but then have a hell of a time trying to actualize them. confused

She's ugly! But the sad thing is that she's not even pretty on the inside. So she can't even turn her ugly ass inside out to reveal any benefit from that.

poor thing.

I guess for them looking good all the time IS their hobby and goal
There wouldn't be time outside of that say, if they had a job and were trying to catch a man too.

I just imagine all the work that would need to be done on me to bring me up to scratch, and I think it would take all day!
When they did the make-up for me to go on TV it took over an hour confused it seemed they needed to do a LOT of work.
Now to get myself all nice and tanned and in shape, keep all my stray hairs in check, nails, dress properly (which would require SHOPPING err ) I would not have time to do anything else dead

i've always loved to take pictures and photography is an artform that i've always admired. i took a photography class in school but i've put it on the back burner, along with dance and many other artistic pursuits, to concentrate on my professional path. confused

I realise that in the context of my life, there would be no point to doing it.
I hope there AREN'T women out there working on themselves full time, unless it IS their job of course. Which has nothing at all to do with this thread even nutty
