Anxiety

i guess it depends on what grade of anger i'm experiencing.

usually one good rant at someone and i'm fine. if i can find just ONE person who will listen to me holler about what's pissing me off and if they can fool me into thinking they understand what i just screamed, then i'm usually fine.

if i'm REALLY mad and nobody's around, then i usually put on pissy music and find something i don't care about that i can throw across the room. throwing things feels good when i'm super mad. and try to let out a nice anguished scream when you do the throw. it hits the spot. nod

I've learnt some good ways to channel my anger into more healthy ways. I used to be afraid of letting any anger out from fear of what would happen, theres been a few times where I've lost control and done shit I didn't want to in a massive fit of anger.

Whether it be putting on some angry music and belt out the lyrics or picking up my guitar putting on the heaviest distortion I have and thrashing it out with some power chords. Or just beating the living shit out of some pillows or something while screaming as loud as you can! (that really helps a great deal no matter how silly it sounds) lol

The one thing I hate tho is when someone else around you is angry and they try put it all on you! mad But then I will just look at them silly or just ignore them as its not my anger and I don't want anything to do with it while they are that way

I generally have to remove myself completely from the situation. Sometimes, at work, or with one particular family member, that isn't possible. It affects me so deeply ~ physically, mentally and spiritually. Especially in cases of animal abuse. I go into a dark mindspace, unplug my phone and listen to the most extreme music I have ~ Diamanda, Genesis P'Orridge, Tricky. I have to find my balance again before I can enter the "real world" At the end of it, I have a close friend to share with and that helps tremendously. When I've calmed down, I try to determine the best course of action and follow it.

I'm not good at channeling my anger. I want to destroy things and people. I'm trying to learn to get a grip on it.

My triggers are racism and cruelty to the defenseless. That can really send me over the edge. I will cut someone.....

I usually just take a breather and access if its really worth it or not. It takes a lot for me to get angry unless it involves somebody I care about. But usually I just shut people or the issue out. I have a tendency to let things build. I have a very sharp tongue that people are rarely aware of. I never thought of myself as being violent (and I don't think others see me that way 'cause I'm so laid back) toward others until I had kids. Anything against my kids just may get you fucked up nod

It goes even deeper than just that. Besides that, I don't wanna be a numb wanker. I mean, I'd, like, you konw, become Abierman in like two seconds.

I hope you feel better soon. I understand. Some things just get under your skin and it takes a while to get over it.
