Sat in a net cafe in Penang right now. Just had a large bottle of Tiger beer (such an average beer) and a chicken and vegetable curry. I feel sleepy already but it's only a quarter to seven. Think I'll head back to the room soon and read 'Bear vs. Shark'. What a strange book that is!

Oh lawd. Checked into the 'hotel' yesterday evening. 35RM a night, or about $10.75 USD. Couldn't sleep (no air-con, just fan) and was getting bitten all over. Finally got to sleep in the end though, around 1am. When I woke up in the morning I was met by 2 cockroaches in the bathroom. I tried to chase them out of the room but one scuttled down by the wall at the top end of the bed and the other went up on the bed itself and then down the side and under the mattress. That is where I left them. Not looking forward to sleeping tonight.

Next time I'm going elsewhere.
