I love adding chopped shallots to meals. They're not as over-powering (food-wise, breath-wise) and they retain their character really well. I especially like them atop mushroom-provolone cheeseburgers. drool

drool The key is, you both have the same. wink

Do you avoid them or love them.

I know they can be a killer like garlic, but me lovs my onions, cooked or raw.. nod

Me too, I looooove onions! Recently, I went to a Subway, and, as I always do, asked for lots and lots of onions. The kid who was standing next to me in line was laughing. He said something like, "There's so many onions on the sandwich, they're falling off". lol True, they were, but I love the flavor and taste of onions. I love garlic and green peppers too. All three things add great flavoring to food. drool
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

No dumber than me hating tomatoes and liking ketchup & spaghetti sauce. lol I loathe onions with a passion. I've thrown away whole burgers & sandwiches before because restaurants would mess my order up and put them on them. The scent & taste of onions linger like crazy. I'm like you, I'll eat Funyons and things of that nature, like those French Onion Sun Chips. That's pretty much it though.
