This was not mentioned in the list, but I was really turned off by the inaccuracies in I Am Legend.

First of all, how was Will Smith's character able to get any electricity into his townhouse? The movie specifically indicated that the events took place three years after the supposed cancer cure turned catastrophic virus wiped out 90% of the population. If there were no other living people in Manhattan other than the vampire/zombie people, who would have been manning the power plants? According to the History Channel documentary Life After People, assuming that there were no people around to run the power plants, the power plants serving New York City and similar places along the east coast that were coal-fired or natural gas fired would have shut down in a few days after exhausting their supplies that were firing the electrical turbines. The nuclear plants would have shut down in a month or two to prevent meltdown. The only plants that theoretically could still be running would be the hydroelectric dams, particularly in the Tennessee Valley, which could run for about five years, and Hoover Dam, which theoretically could run for the next 10 to 25 years but realistically would only generate electricity for about a year or two because native species of fish and shellfish would have multiplied out of control and eventually clog the intake valves into the dams, thereby causing the turbines to overheat and break down. So how did Will Smith's character get electricity? Maybe he could have had solar panels on top of his townhouse, but he was known as a doctor and not as an electrician.

Second, how did the woman and her son manage to get into Manhattan in an SUV to save Will Smith's character? From the flashbacks, we saw that the Army had blown up the Brooklyn Bridge to keep quarrantined people from leaving the island. Presumably, they would have blown up the other bridges going in and out of Manhattan and other parts of New York including the Verrazano Bridge. As for the Holland Tunnel and other subway lines going in and out of Manhattan, we saw in the beginning of the movie that the entrances were clogged with abandoned vehicles, so it would have been nearly impossible for any traffic to get in and out of the tunnels. Plus the vampire/zombie people were hiding out in the tunnels during the day.

And last, when the woman and her son were driving to the safe colony in New England, why were the roads in such good condition? If there weren't that many people around to maintain the roadways, the summer heat would have caused the asphalt to buckle, and the harsh winter weather and freeze/thaw cycles would have created numerous potholes and made some roads look like the Greek ruins.

Granted, you need some suspension of disbelief to watch some Hollywood blockbusters. We don't really expect British nannies to fly around with just umbrellas; we don't expect extra-terrestrial humanoid creatures with super-human strength, agility, and the ability to fly to be hanging around newspaper offices posing as journalists; we don't really believe that there are time machines out there that have been manufactured from old DeLorean sports cars; and hopefully there are no killer cyborgs roaming around the country trying to assassinate people who are attempting to save the human race from self-aware computers. But since I Am Legend was supposed to be based on some type of frighteningly catastrophic but somewhat plausible scenario, I couldn't believe that they would leave so many plot holes in the film.
