my sheets only make noise when the cats are hiding underneath and one of them gets a hairball.

I spent 8 bucks a set years ago for sets for my kids' twin beds. They would rip after I wash them three times.

ThreadBare

I have 2 sets that I use pretty consistently. I don't remember the thread count, but they're durable and crisp while not sacrificing comfort or softness.

I bought a jersey set for another bed, but it's a different size, so I haven't slept on that set in years.

And I have tons left over from my college years.

hmmm Think I'll give those away Saturday. It's not like I use 'em anymore...

explain yourself, woman!!!

they make me feel all sweaty.

I love them too, I feel like I'm sleeping in a favorite old tshirt. They do, however, NEED to be washed frequently or I get the dirty feeling.

I like satin sheets feel, especially when my a/c is on in the summer they get nice and cool but I find I don't sleep well with them. My head slips off the pillows and I can't get comfortable.

Higher thread count are the way to go, I have them on now.

ZombieKitten

I hate pilly bedsheets as much as I hate sand in the bed mad

I've never had high thread count sheets though.

Once when I was on work experience they let me touch some egyptian cotton, compared to that my IKEA sheets are like hessian falloff

but the pattern is cute giggle

Target had a line of fairly high thread count sheets for quite a bargain price a while back. I wore those out. redface
I generally only have about 2 sets at a time. When one goes in the wash the other's on my bed and I use them till they're worn out and get another set.

Someday I may have the money to be a sheet-snob, but I'm totally not there yet. Heck, all my furniture is from Target and Ikea. lol

i was thinking more like tomato paste. you're saucy. and you have potato chips crumbled on top of you. i don't know why veggie lasagna always has to have potato chips crumbled on top, but i think it's apt for your noodly sauciness.

i have no idea what i'm talking about. hug

i try to find them on clearance, because they are too exspensive most places! i would like to have some 500 thread count sheets i saw at a store the other day, but i'll wait for the price to go down first! $75.00 for one set of sheets is insane to me! omfg

i would make the plunge and buy really extra deluxe bed sheets for $75, just to have super lush bed sheets ONCE in my life. i don't think it would mean enough to me to want to buy more, but it'd be nice to own one set of glamor sheets.

of course, i'm workin on 38 years of being alive and i still haven't bought sheets that cost more than 25 bucks, so i'm guessing my glamor sheets will be the ones i sleep on in hotels.

oh wait, i always stay in a stupid hotel 8. never mind. pout

Fauxie

Just basic cotton. In the summer I let the missus have the duvet and actually sleep under a spare bed sheet, like I'm in a cocoon. It's a bit weird with the elasticated bits around you, but much cooler. smile

Always wait for them to go on clearance at Target, usually they are 300 thread count and up. I have many sheets, when I find a good deal on them I must buy them
