Is Big Brother the TV show racist?

I know they're already a Big Brother thread but this is for something not related!! Last night while watching it, i noticed how everyone jumped on the black girl including that old man who is 77 yrs old name Jerry who I call John McCain!! I got really uncomfortable watching how everyone who is caucasion all of a sudden jump on the black girl and she really didn't do anything!! Big Brotheris a show i fill the blacks and us latinoes/spanish/hispanic descent cannot go on at all!! Anyone else agrees with me or not!! For if anyone who watches show!! One time i will write Big Brother and ask them to do what survivor did!! Put 3 of us latinoes/hispanic/ spanish, 3 blacks, 3 whites, 3 asians and 3 arabs in the same house!! Then it'll even out!!

No.

Have they unwittingly cast bigots on the show from time to time? Yes. But the conflicts with Libra have been about behavior, not race.

As with most American TV shows, Big Brother's cast will always be dominated by white, straight people; it's a numbers thing.

That said, the guy who is arguably the most popular "HouseGuest" of all-time is Iraqi-American.

It's funny that you mention this because I was talking to a girl at work about this same issue. The girl had said she disliked Libra and wanted her to leave. I personally like Libra because she is, IMO, a good natured trouble maker. The girl at work said it won't be long before she "plays the black card because the black people on these shows always do". I was irritated with her comments because to me it's pretty clear the issues the housemates have with Libra are not racial. And I think Libra is smart enough to know that. My coworkers comments belittle real racism, IMO.

By the same rationale, Stephen can claim that the house is homophobic because he's gay and a bunch of straight people are jumping on him to get him out of the house.
