Haircut ~

So tomorrow I am going to go get my hair trimmed/cut

I'm bored with my current "style" whatever that is lol

So do you have any suggestions ?

My hair is naturally curly and though it looks thick because of that it really much thinner -

It really really bothers me to have hair touching my face much so I usually pull it back in some way or up - most often like this

this is what the back usually looks like

and I really do not want to spend a lot of time on styling it - I am more a wash quick dry/scrunch the curls and go kinda gal

sigh
I just need outside opinions

what ya think ?

if you go shorter won't your curls just get tighter? I saw a pic of you several years ago with short hair, really short on the top and sides longer in the back but not touching your collar, that looked nice on you.

or you could do a shaved sides and back style with the top a little longer..

you have a great face for short hair so anything short will look good on you.

We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color.

maybe you could do those tiny braid things, or sweep it up during the summer for a different look/feel.

Maybe you should grow it longer - my hair is quite long and it doesn't touch my face much because it's all one length and I can put it behind my ears.
I've found that the medium length is the hardest to deal with.

Believe it or not I have been trying to grow my hair out/long for most of my adult life ( besides the 2 times I wacked it all off ! ) This is about as long as my hair ever gets - weird I know hmm

It may get a bit longer but you can not really tell because it just springs up

Even as a girl my hair would not grow much past my shoulders

neutral

I was basically looking at the overall shape of the cut. It's short but it's also a very flattering shape.

Ok you're asking for an outside opinion so I'm gonna give it to ya! The dry/scrunch/wet look is OUT and has been since the 80's...get rid of it. You could have a much more flattering style. Like any new style it will take some maintenance and getting used to before you can be quick with it. You need something softer on your face. I love what Erin suggested...I would print it and bring it to a stylist and tell them you need something that isn't high maintenance and see what they can do and/or suggest.

Good luck!

Yours seems much finer (the strands) than these, so it wont look the same.
I would say just below the ears, worn on the side. A bit like the blonde pic.

Yes but the blonde one is longer, the others are very short. Maybe ask your hairdresser for advice too.
