Need some bathroom inspiration

for those of you with an eye for these things biggrin

(KYLIEEEEE!!!!!)

I'm remodelling the main bathroom next month. It's a tiny room, so it really hasn't got room for much more than a bath with shower IN it, and a single sink/cabinet thingie.

Want help with tiles, colour schemes, maybe the bath can be a spa drool

thanks in advance mr.green

call it what you will confused at the moment the dog lives in there
it will be the bathroom the kids will use as the grow up, at the moment they don't wash.

the master bedroom has an ensuite, which in the space of 2 square metres has a shower, toilet and sink confused

I would LOVE those tiles drool but I have a feeling that is kind of more expensive than what we have in mind, same with the marble pout
No space for toilet in that room, there is a separate one which will also need some work (new toilet with smaller water saving cistern, and new tiles on floor)
I'm looking at the IKEA bathrooms, within my budget boxed
It is also quite a dark room, no window, only a crap old skylight barf

if your looking at ikea im certain those tiles are standard and i believe its a item available through ikea too. glass and marble are pretty standard tiles at great prices.
even limestone. it just matters how you have it laid the grout color and gap between the tiles that makes it look cheap or nice. no space between is best for stone.

Keep it light ...it will make the bathroom appear larger ...eg white, light beige (they are also better colours for resale)
Make sure the tile u use isn't to large eg 300 x 300 would be good ..or smaller ...as when u use a large tile in a small area it makes the room appear smaller.
Using a semi recessed bowl will also allow for more room.
A trendy freeze tile will dress it up smile
Keep you ceiling white .....

semi recessed for the sink?

I means the bowl is only half recessed into the cabinetry ...which allows for smaller cabinets..making the room bigger

Also floating cabinets give the illision of more room eg

Actually most of those are brought as a whole unit and are cheaper than a cabinet maker.....I think u would find something like it at ikea....also try some bathroom depot stores...
Bunnings will have them but they will be alot plainer and proberly still the same price!

I'm choosing some satin white tiles, about 200mmx200mm for the walls, and 300mmx300mm charcoal colour tiles on the floor (a mid tone cool grey if I can get it)
a nice spa like this

sink, cabinet and tap from IKEA
http://www.ikea.com/au/en...s/bathroom
like in this first photo photo
I like the grey white and birch feel

our friend (the dad of one of the master's staff) is doing the reno, he is charging $4500 to pull out all the old stuff and dispose of it, build all the new structure, put in the new things (aside from plumbing & electrical), new plaster, tile it and paint, AND that includes plasterboard for wet areas, wood and paint!
He did our garage conversion and made my study, really good attention to detail! eek
