I was robbed at gunpoint in 1991 and then in late 2006 my downstairs neighbor set the house we were living in on fire (on purpose - she's in jail now). So, I'm counting my blessings!

I almost fell out of a window as a kid.
I almost got hit by a car about five times.
I slit my wrist with a piece of glass at 4 years old.
Both my oldest son and I almost died in childbirth.

my first serious relationship i had when i was 19 years old....well, it ended with the guy kidnapping me, and almost murdered me! he's serving a life sentence in nevada state prison. the doctor told me i was lucky to live through my injuries! that's why i became a missionary and wanted to help other people, because God gave me a second chance with mylife. the guy had killed other people before me, and i had no idea! i was young and thought i knew everything. but he was older than me 29, and had done many bad things before i met him. he acted like an angel when i first met him. now i live the rest of my life helping other teens avoid the same mistake i made by volunteering with youth programs!

i was robbed at gunpoint once, two guys, the one holding the gun was a little erratic. thankfully they legged it as soon as they got the cash.

Last summer I was outside playing with some children in my neighborhood.
It had to be almost 100 degrees out. All they wanted to do was throw water balloons and what not lol. It started to get real hot. I had to sit down and relax cuz I started to feel weird. I sat down for 10 mins then I got back up cuz they wanted me to finish playing. Next thing I know I wake up in the emergency room. I had passed out and messed up the whole left side of my face. I seriously looked like two face. It was swollen and bloody. They said I passed out by the fire hydrant. If I wouldve been two inches closer to the hydrant, I wouldve hit my head died.

my blood pressure dropped VERY low when I had an emergency c-section. I'd lost a couple of litres of blood eek
I grabbed the surgeon's hand and held on with all my strength "I'm so scared" I said. His brow was sweaty and his face was ashen.

I probably wasn't that close to death, but everyone was acting like it.

My c section went something like that too..Dean nearly passed out and told me he was never getting me pregnant again

Leo did that too! he fell off his chair and there was a flurry of alarm as suddenly he had everyone's attention mad while I was dying on the table pissed

yes, even 3 year olds and 6 year olds, they are always running into all the door frames, poorly planned out trajectories disbelief and they bounce off without a care in the world, what's one more bruise when you're in a hurry to play with your brother's Bionicle when he's not looking

ThreadBare

Close enough.

A tornado ripped into the roof over the top-floor apartment units that were around mine. It circled me, basically, hitting those units and halving the tall trees that stood outside my bedroom window. It punched a gaping hole in the building across the street from me, created all sorts of damage in neighboring apartment buildings, and killed a woman when it tossed her SUV over a nearby subdivision's fence.

Someone looked at the damage that surrounded me and agreed that God's protection is for real.

I also was nearly hit by a driver who ran a red light as I made a left turn. Physics really didn't explain how I was able to make the turn so quickly (at such a relatively slow speed). I credit God for that one, too.
