oh yeah that reminds me at 8 i was at a birthday party at a rec centre, and i was sitting on the side of the pool, and my friend's older brother pulled me in from underneath, he didn't know i couldn't swim. it took a while before her mother came to rescue me i still don't know how to swim - and that's why. Same for me, except I was 9 and someone knocked me off of one of those inflatable thingy thangs and I got trapped under. I also never learned how to swim 
And I was also in a car accident a couple of weeks after I got my driver's license. My car's brakes failed. I was coming up to a red light and I tried to stop, but the car kept going.  I'll spare you guys the details,but I broke some bones. Luckily I didn't break my head or something. [Edited 7/22/08 13:55pm] | |

It was scary as hell. The traffic light was at the bottom of a hill, so I was flying through there. I didn't drive for a long time after that. That was a couple of years ago and I'm back on the road now, but I'm extremely paranoid about my brakes  | |

my first serious relationship i had when i was 19 years old....well, it ended with the guy kidnapping me, and almost murdered me! he's serving a life sentence in nevada state prison. the doctor told me i was lucky to live through my injuries! that's why i became a missionary and wanted to help other people, because God gave me a second chance with mylife. the guy had killed other people before me, and i had no idea! i was young and thought i knew everything. but he was older than me 29, and had done many bad things before i met him. he acted like an angel when i first met him. now i live the rest of my life helping other teens avoid the same mistake i made by volunteering with youth programs!

Almost drowned once during a sailingrace at Lake Garda.
As a teen, surgeons made a mistake during a standard operation in the hospital which infected the little brain (not sure how to put it correctly in english) without noticing in time....a few weeks later I was returned to the hospital in a emergency, had two more operations.....all is good in the end, only have a big scar in my neck.....scars are cool though! | |

As an 8 year old, stupidly decided to bounce on my trampoline with a gobstopper in my mouth. 
The inevitable happened but I managed to cough it up. It took every ounce of my energy to do so since I could barely inhale, I pretty much collapsed after coughing it up. Undoubtedly the most frightening moment of my life so far, mainly because it was SO easily avoided. Young n foolish | |

my blood pressure dropped VERY low when I had an emergency c-section. I'd lost a couple of litres of blood
I grabbed the surgeon's hand and held on with all my strength "I'm so scared" I said. His brow was sweaty and his face was ashen. I probably wasn't that close to death, but everyone was acting like it. | |

Last summer I was outside playing with some children in my neighborhood.
It had to be almost 100 degrees out. All they wanted to do was throw water balloons and what not . It started to get real hot. I had to sit down and relax cuz I started to feel weird. I sat down for 10 mins then I got back up cuz they wanted me to finish playing. Next thing I know I wake up in the emergency room. I had passed out and messed up the whole left side of my face. I seriously looked like two face. It was swollen and bloody. They said I passed out by the fire hydrant. If I wouldve been two inches closer to the hydrant, I wouldve hit my head died. | |
