How close have you been to death? In my late teens I once played Russian Roulette with single action army in Uganda, I was UTI and young and stooooopid. You? Wer ist dort? Unterbrechende Kuh. Unterbrech... Muh!!!

I know, stupid 17 year old me. well, I took some Extacy and had a really bad reaction. Felt like I might die. It affected me for a long time, and I think that particular drug is like Russian Roulette, so hey, young & dumb right? [Edited 7/22/08 12:30pm] My Legacy

It's true. It's also the closest I've gotten to committing homicide, because I wanted to strangle the friend who forced me to see it with her.

when I was about 4 I was "swimming" with my floaties on, and they became loose and I went under...I still to this day remember going under, and seeing just headless bodies and feet under water, suddenly I felt someone grab me by my hair. My older cousin saved my life, thank god for my long ass hair.

I was sailing in a race on the Bay. We came around the lee side of Alcatraz Island and puff caught our spinnaker. Boat got knocked over, the cabin flooded faster than our pumps could handle and before you know it the boat was sunk. Water was HELLA cold and I had all my gear on but even with my PFD I was freezing to death. Lots of motorboats came to help but they didn't want to get too close for fear of fouling their props. By the time they hauled me out I was white as a sheet with bright blue lips. Couldn't feel a thing and I was suffering from advanced hypothermia. Another 5 minutes and I would've slipped into a coma...

oh yeah that reminds me at 8 i was at a birthday party at a rec centre, and i was sitting on the side of the pool, and my friend's older brother pulled me in from underneath, he didn't know i couldn't swim. it took a while before her mother came to rescue me i still don't know how to swim - and that's why. I'm probably a reason why breech babies are rarely delivered vaginally. My brother, who was 3 years old when I was born, used to love to show my broken arm off. He would tell people the doctor dropped me in the toilet. Shake it til ya make it
